Dr. Karen Gellman is a 1995 graduate of Cornell College of Veterinary Medicine, and has advanced training in many holistic modalities, practicing for nearly 30 years.  She earned a PhD from Cornell in animal locomotion biomechanics in 2001, and has written numerous scholarly and equine educational articles.

 

Dr. Gellman teaches about posture, biomechanics and holistic veterinary medicine for major veterinary organizations throughout the US and Europe, and is widely recognized as an expert in the field.  In 2005, she founded Postural Rehabilitation, a training in posture for equine professionals, along with Dr. Judith Shoemaker, and Elizabeth Reese, kinesthetic awareness educator.  Along with close colleague Daisy Bicking of Daisy Haven Farm International School of Integrative Hoofcare, in 2014, the PR team performed one of the first interventional studies of equine posture, funded by the American Holistic Veterinary Medical Foundation.
